Yes, so much so that she was so happy to have been working from home the day she read about it because she could start training us IMMEDIATELY. *rolls eyes* But as usual, I caught on quickly and knew exactly what Mother wanted. Unlike somebody….

I just thought she was doing something like the walking-on-her-feet trick that’s why I kept putting both my paws on her foot!

[This is not the end result yet. The final behaviour should be the dog raising each leg following my cue with my raised legs, but the dog should be doing it independently at a short distance away from me.

Romeo picked it up fast. He pawed my foot immediately when I offered it to him. Juliet took a bit longer. She didn't quite understand what I wanted. I do think she was abit confused - she wanted to put both her front paws and her weight on my raised foot. So I tried to get the behaviour by putting my hand on my foot (like shaking hands) and also wiggling my foot around. A combination of that worked!

I also started off training them with a blister. Now it's a painful wound, no thanks to the kids and them digging in their nails!]

I cannot understand Mother sometimes. What the heck is she making us do now?

She is teaching us to walk on her feet! Wheee! So much FUN!

Whee! I’ve gotten much better! We are doing more steps now! Mummy is pleased!

It’s Labour Day. A day to rest. ZZzzzzz……

What the heck, is there nowhere else in the country to go for a walk? Why did Mother taking us to Labrador Boardwalk AGAIN!?

She was trying to find a way to get to that little spit of land she saw from the boardwalk. Well she found it and it’s across the bridge at the Marina @ Keppel Bay. It’s nice and green and quiet! We got to wander around on a long leash! And we met alot of nice people including this group of women and their kids – they loved ME!

Yea you also sucked up to the two girls who were jogging. *rolls eyes* Good thing Mother scheduled a massage for us after the 2 hour walk with Pawsitive Sensations! Auntie Z found that my mid back and right hind leg was ache-y!

She found my upper back sore! And said I have a mild sprain in the right front leg! Mummy thinks that it must be all that running around in the mud at the Dogtravaganza event on Saturday. Not good for our muscles!

We LOVE Kongs! They are so much fun!

I like them frozen. Then when it starts to thaw I’ll pick them up and throw them around or down the stairs to break up the pieces!

Yea mum hates that. She has to clean up after you…

Oh well, I have fun! Here’s a video on two ways to fill a Kong. We don’t do the kibble version because we don’t eat kibble but Mother got some freebies and thought she would show everyone how to do it anyway!

We played abit of ball, did abit of obedience training and also worked on my weave entries. Mumsy has been doing abit at home, but decided to make use of the space (and lack of dogs) at the dog run to train weave entries too. Romeo did some training too but he’s abit slow. Ssshhh! Don’t tell him I told you so! Hee!

Mumsy decided to use only 4 poles so as not to overdo things, then when I got the right entry, she clicked, waited for me to reach the end then pressed the Button which opens the Treat Box.

Mumsy calls the Treat Box a “remote controlled treat dispenser” and says it allows her to stand at one end at let me do my thing and encourage me to run fast out of the weaves.

Well I did a short compilation of some of my weaves training progression! I think I’m doing real well! Mumsy is so proud of my weave entries and was amazed I would wrap the first pole after doing only 2 short sessions of weave entry training before today! HAH! I showed her! I’m smart beneath all this cuteness!

So we can stop Mummy from travelling! Or so we can go along! Wheeee!

[This trick was trained using shaping. Took 2 sessions to train - the first session I got both to get in with 4 legs, that was easy, and also got to the point where they could get in themselves with the cover closed though Juliet was a bit more wary of the cover over her. Romeo didn't offer to lie down until the 2nd training session. Juliet got over her fear of the cover during the 2nd session but I cued the down behaviour. Videos were taken at the end of the 2nd session. I'm going to try and get them both to squeeze into the luggage next! While training Romeo, Juliet climbed in with him at the same time and it looked hilarious!]

We must have done something good. Mother gave us a great big treat last night!

Yeah! It was a wee little piglet! A suckling pig! A WHOLE PIG!

I had no trouble at all getting to work on it! It was awesome! I kept tugging at it, trying to drag it around.

I was a little confused – just kept licking at it until I found an ear, then started on the snout!

It was hella fun! I got such a workout from eating.

SECOND PIGLET FEEDING SESSION

Dogs couldn't finish the piglet still, so I chopped it up (big chunks!) and bagged them for another day.

In Mother’s desperate attempt to communicate with us (she couldn’t just read this darn blog?!), she engaged Rosina, an animal communicator (through Zeus Communications), to talk to us and ask us questions for almost an hour!

It was fun! Rosina told Mumsy that I was anxious when she arrived and thought maybe I did something bad. Hee!

Rosina told Mother things she really should already know, like I like beef steak (duh!), car rides (I’m daddy’s co-driver!) and think Mother is awesome (hope she doesn’t let it get to her head).

And I told Rosina to tell Mumsy that I’m preeettty and like to be told! I like looking at myself in the mirror! I also want Mumsy to brush more gently and told Rosina that Mumsy sings (in the car and to me when there’s thunder). I made sure Mumsy knows that Romeo is bossy (hmpf!) and that I like to sleep on Mumsy’s bed! I told Rosina that I love Daddy more coz I know how to wrap him around my little paw and get him to do what I want! Heehee! I told her Daddy always comes home late!

I asked Rosina to ask Mother why she got Juliet. I wasn’t quite happy with that at first, but I guess we’re cool now. But I’m not happy when she takes her out more than me! I hope Mother takes me out more. I don’t like dogs much but I like my people. I want someone at home all the time! I also prefer to have long walks on a long leash with Mother and Father than go for doggy gatherings. Ugh. Dogs.

I hope Mother remembers to tell me I’m pretty everyday!

It’s been raining cats and dogs (heehee) and Mumsy decided not to take us to agility practice on Sunday because the ground would be soppin’ wet!

Yea her rationale was that she wouldn’t be able to run and it might be dangerous for all of us with all that mud. I think she just doesn’t want to shower us after.

Mumsy took us to Labrador Boardwalk which is by the sea. She took daddy and daddy’s big camera along coz she suddenly has this thing for photography. That’s fine by me coz I’m pweettty and love taking pictures!

I just like the treats I get from sitting still!
